Sean's Dream - July 30th 2010

31 July, 2010
I've had a difficult time remembering my dreams lately. Ironically ever since Lucidity started I think I remember them less! Hopefully once it's all said and done I'll be awarded some kind of super dreaming talent, but until then you only get the strange tidbits I remember.

The past few nights I've been trying to escape from somewhere. Not the same place, but still the common theme of "Get The Fuck Out!" I'll start with my dream I remember from two nights ago.

Dream 1 - July 29th (or something):

I'm in a huge hanger with a bunch of spaceships. There is a battle going on around me. I realize that I have lightsaber (This is a big deal for me. Up until this dream I had no memory of ever using a lightsaber.) I throw the saber at 3 aliens and cut one of their heads off. I remember running and jumping on a ship that was trying to take off so I cut it in half. I was then being shot at. I started to gain awareness of the dream. Never actually reaching lucidity, but I began to question my lightsaber skills and as I did I stopped deflecting bullets and began physically dodging them instead. I tried to be more confident and use the lightsaber more. I could only hit things back when I relaxed. I then woke up.

Dream 2 - July 30th (this morning)

I feel like an ass because I remembered more of this dream when I started this post, but after trying to relive and recall the lightsaber dream I seem to have forgotten more of this one.

All I can remember now is trying to get out of some large school/prison facility. It vaguely reminds me of the vaults in the Fallout game series. I can remember planning to escape behind people's backs. Also just the feeling of people looking at me suspiciously. I eventually did start to run from or to something. It got intense, but sadly I can't really remember anymore.

Dream Advice #1: When writing down or recalling dreams use the present tense. Don't re-member, re-live. And don't be afraid to switch tenses. Try and write as free form as possible. Remember, it isn't an essay and dreams aren't always linear.

I figured I should spread the word on some of the techniques I've picked up during my past year of researching dreams, and this is the first installment. Hope this helps somehow.

Dream Journal - 7-4-10 - by Bill

As soon as I woke up I started writing. Remembering dreams is important. Remembering that you are aware you’re dreaming your dreams is even more important. I have total awareness that I was in Episode IV. Now THAT is what is SUPPOSED to happen. Calling Danny (George) I learned that Episode IV is near to being ready to post online. In my fondest of dreams Episode IV is up and people LIKE it.

Oh, and last night we went to a Chinese restaurant, but instead of saying “...in bed!” at the end of reading our fortunes we started saying, “...in your DREAMS!” It was much funnier, and more meaningful to some. Start your path to LUCIDITY and help me deal with what is happening to George & Jason. And if you don’t have your garb yet, BUY IT NOW!!!
