I'm in my dad's old house, but I think it is the home I live in now. I go to the backdoor and see Chris and Danny moving over sized furniture into the house. I recognize that the desk I recently moved into our backyard is back in the house and comment on it. I walk to the side of the house which turns into a big alley. Myself and other people I'm with all get attacked. I remember being stabbed all the way through my body multiple times. It is almost like an anime because the wounds are perfect circles and go through us almost like Lust from Full Metal. After the attack I'm looking down at a girl on the ground. There are other people around me looking at her, she has been greatly injured. The last and only thing I remember saying is, "With what's left of her brain I can make her think she's in heaven." Then I woke up.

Lucidity Accepted into 2012 LaWeb Fest!

For the second year in a row Lucidity has been accepted into the LaWeb Fest. We are greatly honored to be a part of this once a year event of which there is no equal.
LaWeb Fest is unique in that it is a pure web based festival. Web series isn't simply a category or sub award at LaWeb, instead web series are the focus.

Their dedicated review staff watch every single episode of every single entry. This means that every show is given the full opportunity to strut its stuff. Lucidity doesn't exist in any single episode and I know for a fact that their dedication benefits us greatly. I feel bad for making them watch over two hours of Lucidity, but am thankful that they took the time.

Screening details will be posted within days so stay tuned.

The festival takes place April 6th-8th  at The Radisson LAX.

I was in a mall and there were two sides fighting each other. I remember web slinging trying to run from some girl villain. In mid air I flipped around and webbed her face, but she still kept running. I was trying to web sling as fast as I possible could.

It was a good dream :)

"I leave Dobson high school and walk to the parking lot. I get into a really big car. I notice that it is difficult to drive, but still do. I turn left onto the street and have to slam on the breaks and pull the e-break in order to not hit the stopped car in front of me. I see a man laughing in the car next to the car I almost hit. I give him a thumbs up and smile. I decide that I don't have enough control over the vehicle and make a U-Turn after the light. As I drive past the school I realize i don't have any clothes on. I wonder why and then wake up."

So what does it mean when you're driving a car you can't control, are naked, and drive past your old high school?

Sean (Jason) Dream - December 19th 2011

This is from a few nights ago, but is a great example of how movies and media can influence dreams.

Earlier in the evening before bed I watched an episode of Arrested Development from the third season. The end of the episode looks like this.

A day or two prior I had also watched Jingle All The Way with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sinbad. I was feeling the Christmas spirit :)

So to the dream I had. I remember being in a tall building with large windows. In front of me was a beautiful city landscape. In the distance I saw a "Godzilla" type shadow moving among the city skyline. It seemed very distant so I didn't make any special note of it.

To my right was another large window, but it had a door that led to balcony. There was a woman on the balcony. Suddenly The whole building began to shake and the woman almost fell off the balcony. She slid into a gate that was surrounding the edge and suddenly Sinbad in his "Dementor" costume from Jingle All The Way popped his head over.

Somehow the woman got away, but Sinbad started breaking the large windows to get in. I then ran into a kitchen and started grabbing cleaning supplies and made a reference to chemical warfare. The last thing I remember is sprayign windex into Sinbad's giant eyeballs.

I'm writing this down a little late so I don't have much to put down.

I recently started watching Caprica which is a prequal to Battlestar Galactica. In the show there is a digital version of their city called New Cap City. When a person dies who is jacked in dies they "de-res" and return to the real world unharmed. In the show their are a few characters who already dead in the real world bu are still existing in the game. So when they die they do not de-res, but simply heal.

In my dream I remember trying to deal with the reality of having multiple bodies. I have no clue what the plot of the dream was. I really only remember being confused and one horrific image of a a few Reptillians eating a girl who couldn't de-res. It was a disgusting never ending feast.

So I had a dream last night where I was hiding from Voldemort. I was waking people up from being tricked into following him. For some reason I had to run through a large group of people to get somewhere and Bellatrix grabbed me and took me to Voldemort. He then tried to cut me with a knife but I pushed his hand away with my foot. Danny was standing there with Ryan (Trombone player from Captain Squeegee) and Voldemort told Danny to cut my throat. Danny lazily tried to but failed. So then Ryan started slowly pushing a large kitchen knife into my heart. I just kept saying "ow ow ow ow"

Sean (Jason) Dream - October 1st 2011

Pretty intense dream last night. I was in a my Grandfather's house in Oregon with a bunch of friends, I only remember one person specifically though. The mood was very low and something had clearly happened. For whatever reason everybody was killing themselves and we were all supposed to, or at least believed we had to.   There was a sense that there really wasn't any other choice and we had pretty much resigned ourselves to this face.
There was a large pile of guns in the corner but no bullets to use with them. I went outside and decided to lay down in the bed of a truck. I knew that my friend was going to drive it off a cliff and die that way. He came out and told me that he wanted to do this alone and asked if I would leave. I was okay with this and understood so I went back inside. I pondered trying to hang myself and cutting but neither seemed appropriate. I wandered into a the living room and saw a boy and a girl. They had "suicide pills" and offered to give me one. I thanked them and took the pill. I tried to swallow it but had a hard time, a third person then walked in but I can't remember who. I was choking while trying to swallow the pill when I woke up.
The most unsettling part is that when I woke up I had that strange bubble feeling in my throat I sometimes get  when trying to swallow pills. I'm not really concerned with all the suicide as I know I am in my right mind. I simply find it rather interesting. It was certainty a unique experience.

Sean (Jason) LUCID dream - April 21st 2011

21 April, 2011
I was riding in the Squeegee van and I was sitting in the backseat with a girl I don't remember. I tapped the seat with my finger and somehow I instantly knew I was in a dream. I think I verbally said I was in a dream and got really excited and the girl just rolled her eyes like it was uninteresting. I then told her how it was okay because us being in a dream didn't make it not real and that this was a real place to be.

I don't remember anything after that. I think I wondered about while lucid for a bit, but I don't know exactly. I end up watching a lot of people when I'm lucid. I'm in complete awe at them and their conversations and how much each of one seems to be so alive.

Sean (Jason) LUCID dream - March 9th 2011

09 March, 2011
I only wrote down a few things about this lucid dream, because I woke up in the middle of the night and typed it into my phone.

I'm in a hotel with Victor we realize we are dreaming. Both of us. We leave a crowd of people and find a private corner. We discuss what it means that we are both lucid and try and find something to say to each other when awake to confirm this is happening. We were standing by a pay phone and a toy car tilted on something.

This dream was pretty fucking sweet because it may have been a mutual dream. Sadly victor has very poor dream recall and cannot confirm anything. So this one will remain a mystery!

Sean (Jason) LUCID Dream - Feb. 24th 2011

25 February, 2011
Hurray!

While waiting for my boss to pick me up for a filming job this morning I was able to almost slip into a W.I.L.D.

As I was laying down I began to hear my roommate John's voice. I knew however that he was at the International UFO Conference running sound and was not in the house. I recognized the hypnagogia and attempted to ignore it while allowing it to grow louder.

I started seeing faces fly past me that I did not recognize. I felt like I was falling and I started hearing my own voice saying "open the door".

Now this is SUPER significant to me personally because my past two W.I.L.D. experiences have had a reoccurring theme. Two times I've got to the half state I am about describe but got stuck at a door. Both times I attempted to "phase" through the door.

And finally after the second dream I was like, "Dammit Sean! You don't need to phase through the door, you aren't Kitty Pride. Just stand up and open the fucking thing with your hand!!!"

So when I heard my voice telling me to open the door I was very shocked. I saw a hallway for a brief few seconds but never fully materialized. I continued to fly through the in-between state chaotically.

The unfortunate part about all three of these dreams is that I never attain full body awareness while being out of body. Meaning I don't reach my Astral body. Everything is kind of blurry and is almost foggy.

I remember flying through my star wars posters and oddly thinking that it was strange since I didn't go to sleep in my room, which I did. Near the end of the experience I realized I was in my childhood home that I grew up in. I was with a friend who I'll explain later. But I still didn't have a good grasp on the astral reality so I tried to verbally say, "Increase lucidity" but I couldn't really speak. It was like my mouth was being held shut. I tried a few more times, but to no luck.

After that point my boss called and I woke up.

Earlier in the experience I remember seeing a girl I know sitting by my window on a bed that is not next to my window in waking reality. I've had a few astral encounters with this girl recently and I find it rather fascinating. I sat behind her and touched her shoulder and then she turned and we kissed. This was the most "in body" moment of the experience, which is funny. The kiss was hilarious though, it was technically the second time I had kissed this girl in a lucid dream, but the previous time was in a D.I.L.D and I immediately stopped because the kiss is what gave me lucidity. This kiss was proper strange and was fairly real.

That was as far as that went, I'm not about to just give it all up for free! I remember jumping in my room trying to go through the ceiling but feeling the hardness of it. Also, remember that this wasn't a full on holy fucking shit out of body experience. The difference is a lot of this is more mental and like thoughts with images, rather than direct experience just like you are awake. I couldn't go through the roof and it was really bothering me. The girl and I walked out of my room and that's when I ended up in my old house.

I know I saw and heard more things but unfortunately I had to work and then write this all down so some of it is lost to time. I'll also update on a few dream events that I haven't written about yet.

I have to go now though because I was supposed to leave for the UFO conference to do video, but I just had to get this down. So just know I didn't proof read any of this.

Sean (Jason) Dream - Jan 18th 2011

19 January, 2011
I almost got directly out of my body this morning. I woke up after several hours of rest, I'm not sure how many because I didn't move when I woke up. Out of no where I felt my body get very heavy and kind of section to the ground. I then felt as if I was vibrating. Similar sounds to binaural beats were kinda switching on and off in my ear. I tried to focus on not focusing to hard haha and was able to keep it on. I saw more colors and felt as if I was standing instead of laying down. I decided to fall forward and slowly did so. The rush was extremely intense and I saw many images and what seemed like paitings as I fell through whatever I was falling through. I then remember trying to crawl toward a door. I've had another WILD/OBE experience before this where I tried to crawl through a door. Again as I reached the door I tried to phase through it, I feel as though this will confirm I am dreaming. I am very heavy and I can't get through the door.

And I don't remember anything after that. It's very significant to me that I keep trying to get through this door. I think I just need to stand up and take some real control and just use the doorknob.

It also intrigues me because I've read reports and have heard stories that when a person is trying to see their past lives you must enter a door. I've always been fascinated by past lives and it would definitely be something I'm open to exploring in the astral world.

Well, I'm tired and I must sleep in order to grow.

Sean's (Jason) Dream - 1/12/11

12 January, 2011
I fell asleep last night almost immediately getting out of the shower. I woke up around 4:00 in the morning and moved from the couch to my closet.

I don't remember any single dream in its entirety. I remember being on a plane and it flying really low to the ground almost hitting many poles. Eventually we were flying right over the ocean and I was very nervous about our height. Another passenger calculated that flying at this height at this speed would get us to our destination very late.

Later in the dream I encountered two portals. One was on the floor and one was the exact same size directly above it on the ceiling. Anything that went in on of the portals came out on the other side. It was similar to playing the game "Portal". At some point we slowly lowered Cody into the bottom portal so his feet would come out the other side and he could support himself by standing on his head.

I also remember defending some kind of fortress that was by an Ocean. There was a huge superhero type battle. I remember several points where I was afraid to enter the water or experienced fear when I was in the water.

Looking back over my physical and digital dream journals it is pretty obvious to me that I have associated water with something fearful. Of course this could simply be a fear of water, but I find it more likely the water is representing something.

I had so many dreams last night and kept waking up in a cold sweat, hopefully I can work on becoming Lucid again.

Sean's (Jason) Dream - 11/12/10 *lucid

11 November, 2010
I've been editing episode V for the past week and most of my dreams have been somewhere in the editing hell. Sometimes I feel like I'm scrubbing through footage at a very slow rate, or looking at the same cuts over and over and over again. It's like a mental prison until I finish editing. Which is why I work in such fast bursts most of the time. Dive in, grab the treasure, and get the fuck out!

That being said today after a pleasant mid day shower I decided to lay down. Not exactly for the purpose of gaining Lucidity, but just to relax.

At some point I fell asleep and this is what I remember:

I'm standing on a huge cliff. On a road or something. Cody is near by. I don't think anything in particular makes me aware of that I'm not in my body. I simply realize it. Everything is still a little bit fuzzy, not a pure lucid state. I decide that I want to jump off the cliff and fly, but I hesitate. I remind myself that I have to have faith and not hesitate. This gives me the courage to jump. Sadly I don't fly and simply fall into the water. I'm very nervous swimming because I don't know what's in the water with me, but I again remind myself I have at least some level of control and I should be fine. I am able to swim and slowly start rising out of the water. I am able to fly and go somewhere I don't remember.

All in all a decent lucid experience, nothing profound or adventurous. I find it interesting I've been in nature environments lately in my dreams. I'm usually such a city dweller. Maybe I just need to get out more.

Sean's (Jason) Dream - 11/07/10

07 November, 2010
I'm really glad I'm forcing myself to write down this dream right now.

I woke up earlier in the day in order to work with my boss, but he was running late so I laid down and went back to bed on my couch.

"I'm asleep on the couch when a cat starts jumping all over me. It is actually kind of freaking me out. The cat keeps scratching me. I vauguley remember my sister Julian telling my I didn't feed the cat and now it was dying.

Suddenly I'm driving on a road that's on a cliff. It is a swurvy road and the driving makes me very tense and scared. I pull of the road. I run into John Knott (Chris) and he is guarding some kind of energy power plant. He is somehow emitting the energy. He kept bringing up how steep the cliff was, which made me nervous to drive again.

I start slowly climbing some kind of mountain. It's pretty difficult and I'm afraid I'll fall"

Please remember that when recalling a dream you should try and be as free flow as possible. Don't get caught up in what you're writing, nor how you're writing it.

Hopefully More Dreams In The Future,

Sean's Dream - July 30th 2010

31 July, 2010
I've had a difficult time remembering my dreams lately. Ironically ever since Lucidity started I think I remember them less! Hopefully once it's all said and done I'll be awarded some kind of super dreaming talent, but until then you only get the strange tidbits I remember.

The past few nights I've been trying to escape from somewhere. Not the same place, but still the common theme of "Get The Fuck Out!" I'll start with my dream I remember from two nights ago.

Dream 1 - July 29th (or something):

I'm in a huge hanger with a bunch of spaceships. There is a battle going on around me. I realize that I have lightsaber (This is a big deal for me. Up until this dream I had no memory of ever using a lightsaber.) I throw the saber at 3 aliens and cut one of their heads off. I remember running and jumping on a ship that was trying to take off so I cut it in half. I was then being shot at. I started to gain awareness of the dream. Never actually reaching lucidity, but I began to question my lightsaber skills and as I did I stopped deflecting bullets and began physically dodging them instead. I tried to be more confident and use the lightsaber more. I could only hit things back when I relaxed. I then woke up.

Dream 2 - July 30th (this morning)

I feel like an ass because I remembered more of this dream when I started this post, but after trying to relive and recall the lightsaber dream I seem to have forgotten more of this one.

All I can remember now is trying to get out of some large school/prison facility. It vaguely reminds me of the vaults in the Fallout game series. I can remember planning to escape behind people's backs. Also just the feeling of people looking at me suspiciously. I eventually did start to run from or to something. It got intense, but sadly I can't really remember anymore.

Dream Advice #1: When writing down or recalling dreams use the present tense. Don't re-member, re-live. And don't be afraid to switch tenses. Try and write as free form as possible. Remember, it isn't an essay and dreams aren't always linear.

I figured I should spread the word on some of the techniques I've picked up during my past year of researching dreams, and this is the first installment. Hope this helps somehow.

DREAM ON!

14 June, 2010
"I remember a lot of snakes being present. I am very scared. Cody walks out of a room with a snake across his back. When I think of it now it's oddly similar to that sexy Britney Spears dance, but with Cody...and not sexy, just scary. I wake up and still feel like a snake with me. I then see a snake in my bed, it sees me and attacks my face. I wake up again."

For those of you who don't know me I fucking hate snakes. So dreams like these really get under my skin. A couple of my good friends growing up would always threaten to put snakes in my bed, but I want you to know that if you ever do that to me I will stop being your friend. It's not funny, it's cruel.

Away from that for a moment; the false awakening in this dream was rather entertaining. I truly thought I had woken up and the snake being present only made me think it was influencing my dream.

"I'm on a soccer field playing 3 V 3 or something small like that. I remember Kobe Bryant being on my team and a long time friend I used to play soccer with too. Mr friend quit the team before we started playing because he didn't like Kobe. I don't like him either but I try to convince my friend to keep playing. I remember a couple false starts to the game but eventually I think we had to give up. A man I don't really like in real life then came over and gave me a whistle necklace. It took me some time to figure out what it was. He said he thought I did a good job and I should keep trying/"

Overall pretty boring dream. The world wasn't ending, there were no dinosaurs, and I still haven't used a lightsaber in a dream I remember.

"I was in a tall building at ASU when I looked out the window and saw a plane flying towards another tall building. It dropped a bomb and everyone started panicking. I run outside and see another plane drop another bomb on a building. I see Danny and we are both rather calm, not that it isn't terrifying, just that we knew we couldn't run like mad people like everyone else."

That's all that I wrote down this morning. I also vaguely remember a small moment of almost Lucidity. Very real dream.

Danny was once again working in my room while I slept and after I woke up he asked about my dream. For the second time I was attempting to verbally say something. Before I explained the dream to Danny he said he sounded like I tried to scream "Nooo!" Which would make sense considering a bunch of people just died at the hands of bombs.

Fucked up dreams man.
