Cody(camera/EFX) "Lucid Minecraft + first person shooter + social justice = best welcome to your birthday month dream ever? Yes." -12/1/11

01 December, 2011
So I am never particularly exited for my birthday,(Dec. 20,) not that I hate birthdays, i just dont usually get hyped for my own. However, this year is different. Today I woke from a particularly satisfying dream. Okay, okay, let me start off by saying that I am an active supporter of the Occupy Wall Street (http://occupywallst.org/) movement, and a frequent visitor of the Occupy Phoenix (http://occupyphx.org/) movement here in Arizona. I was even lucky enough to be arrested and beat up by a group of Phoenix's Finest on the first night of the Phoenix movement... for filming, the farcical amount of police they sent to deal with 50 people saying "we love you!" *More on this at a different time* You now will understand why this particular dream was so sweet. That and the fact that alot of my dreams lately have involved being rounded up into prison camps :/

Any who, so the dream starts of with me in a fresh new world of Minecraft, (dream minecraft is AWESOME by the way,) so I got to work building this castle that I was mostly carving out of a mountain, but something about being so underground in the mystical caves of this wierd mountain castle was really starting to make things incoherent, and a little nutty. So I left the castle, built over the door and started bulding a town on top of the ground this time. Some time goes by and I have a nice little village, with other people, and everyone is happy. Until one of the little boys breaks into the castle that I had closed off. I spawn from my bed, walk outside of my little sponge house, and am immediately bombarded with a mob of angry people, telling me that there son was deranged and it was all my fault! Things get kinda fuzzy here and next thing I know I'm in a present day looking America, but still in Minecraft form. So I spawn from my bed, walk out of my crappy, one bedroom, nether-brick apartment, and get shot at by a sniper! This is where this start getting wonky. As I dodge into a nearby alleyway to avoid getting shot, I bring up an assault rifle with ACOG scope! (I know, video games will be the death of me.) I turn around a corner and BAM! Dead. Excruciating pain...Re-spawn in my apartment, this time I take the minecraft surroundings into account. I look out the window, count blocks to the house I see the gunfire from, then start digging underground. Out of fear for my life, and fear of the painful rebirth thing, I ignore the weird underground vibe and dig up under the sniper, and knifed him. At this point I felt extream remorse for what I had done, and the questioning of awareness really kicks in now. As I go around the map digging and killing all other players I become aware that I am dreaming, at first, I stood still, than, I got shot and it still hurt like hell, so I ran into a building, and threw down my gun, at this point the minecraft and the first person shooter worlds were gone, and my lucid state is fading in and out. I walk out of another door of the building and see a huge crowd of protesters, who were all shouting something that I just understood was a codeword for something, that gave me the feeling of hope in a time of now or never. So I walk to the front of the crowd, (which is at the bottom of a curvy road lined in razor wire fences, that looked like it went up to a corporate remodeled version of an extremely familiar building,) and right as I get to the edge of the people, I see the big gate like doors open, and a ton of riot cops start running down, in huge squads! So the crowd of people started pushing up while the riot cops were coming down, and the whole time everyone was screaming that codeword, and it seemed to make our group bigger and full of hope, so I started shouting also, and as we met int he middle, I was lost in chaos for a minuet, and we were getting pushed down, but as we came to the bottom of the curvy road, I realized that a large number of the riot officers where grabbing abusive officers and arresting them! So abusive law enforcement were being arrested left and right, and there were a group of marines that came out of the building, with blood of what looked like three different colors on their uniforms, and they were holding the doors for another team of military and police personnel that were running inside followed by tons of people with cameras, and now me. We followed the team of marines in to the building and up all of its floors, into the top executive office, (where I now find out we are in a federal reserve bank.) It is here that I discover that this is happening all over the world and they were on live feed to all the city's worldwide, and planning to barge into the security rooms all at once. The security room was a false wall that opened and showed a room sized elevator, we were given the signal, we all step into it. One of the soldiers rifles in the oak desk and finds a necklace, it is a golden owl with ruby eyes. He walks into the elevator and puts it face first into a matching indent on the inner wall of the elevator. The wall doors shut, and we start going down. We get off of the elevator and are led down a hallway lit by torches, and into a humungous conference room, that I recognize as the main great hall of the first castle I built. Here we find a whole slew of financial and political leaders, who are responsible for much of the global crisis right now, and who I will not name, hiding out, and praying to this giant, living owl. At this point, all of them were detained by the soldiers, and put in prisons, that the people have gained control over. From what I remember things were back in minecraft mode by the time, the soldiers had killed the owl and we got back to the surface, everything looked all destroyed, but there was a lot of hope in there air! This lead into some other dreams before I woke up, but I don't remember much more after that. I hope you enjoyed hearing about my birthday gift from the dream world! And stand by for Lucidity Episode 6! www.LuciditySaga.com
